The Howard County Cat Club, a registered 501 (c)(3) nonprofit, is dedicated to keeping cats out of shelters because we believe that no cat deserves to live in a cage, or to be put to death because it is no longer wanted or in the way.
We operate a behavior hotline to help cats and their human companions resolve their differences. We assist people place their no-longer-wanted cats in loving new homes, we shelter cats who have absolutely nowhere else to go, and we help feral colony caretakers with Trap/Neuter/Return. If you must give up your cat, please look at our Give Up Policies.
Happy Tales
We are always in need of volunteers to care for the cats in our group home and drive cats to and from adoption shows. We also occasionally need foster homes. We're a no kill rescue, and all of our "Cat Tales" have happy endings. Our volunteers love their work (and our cats), and we hope you'll join us. For information, just click on the Mail Cat and send us a note.
Frustrating Feline?
We can help you and your cat live in "purrfect" harmony. Just write to our Behavior Hotline for free advice.
Please don't declaw your cat! Declawing causes many more problems
than it solves!
